This report is the result of more than a year of community discussion and research. Many community members participated, and the Trend Benders Coordinating Council led the effort with the Civic Forum.

Research and report writing were completed by Michelle J. Foster of Foster Communication. The report was edited by Dr. Suzanne Tucker and R. Diane Kasselhut, with input from the Coordinating Council and area experts.

The front cover is a watercolor by Chuck Morris, and is used on this Web site with permission. Photography of the painting is by Dillard Jenkins.

This Web site is designed and produced by Allied Internet; the original version was printed by Pyramid Printing.

The chairpersons of this project — Deedee Mayer, Donna Crouch and Kayleen Christie — generated support for the effort throughout the community and provided direction and encouragement to the Coordinating Council and writer. Thank you for the countless hours you freely gave to this study and the community.
